Packing For 3 Months in Spain

Disclaimer: this list & post may have been thrown together the night before leaving town & it may or may not be a collection of all the wrong things and entirely too much of it. It also may change 600 times before the actual departure. The author also does not claim to know what she's doing.

(Update: The list was changed before departure. I've added what I anxiously threw in below in parenthesis)

Checked Bag:

( Must weight under 50 lbs. and the first bag was free - mine was 46 lbs. at the check-in counter)

2 lounge/sleep shirts

2 sleep bottoms: 1 short, 1 long

1 pair leggings

3 pairs skinny jeans: 2 blue, 1 black

1 pair black tennis shoes

1 pair black strappy sandals that were comfort tested and approved over a weekend in Vegas

1 black infinity scarf

1 skinny black belt

1 pair running shorts

1 t-shirt

1 sweatshirt

1 sweater that can be used for layering

1 tan long-sleeved cardigan

1 short dress

1 maxi dress

1 duffle bag for traveling on the weekends (aren't freebies from VS on black friday the best?)

2 pairs shorts: 1 white, 1 blue

5 short sleeve shirts

90 days worth of daily contacts ( note to self: way to go on that huge waste of space)

A bag with: lots of tampons

A bag with: vitamins, Aleve, extra deo (b/c I hear it's expensive in Europe),prescriptions, & allergy meds

A bag with: cotton balls, nail polish remover, and polish (sorry I'm a diva & refuse to go without)

A bag with: dry shampoo, lotion, and facewash

A makeup bag with: hair ties, bobby pins, makeup, brushes, toothbrush/paste, a razor, & ear swabs

2 basic tank tops: 1 black, 1 white

2 dressier tank tops

1 bikini

1 tote bag (for carrying groceries back to the hotel)

Not pictured for your viewing pleasure-

14 pairs of panties

14 pairs of socks (all black-no show)

2 bras

1 pair sticky boobs

2 padded bralettes: 1 black, 1 nude (thanks Old Navy, for realizing that these things should be padded)

(note: being a girl is hard - you have to have 16 bras to go with your 54 different cuts of clothing)

(1 hair straightener that will not heat up to a useable temperature at the hotel)

(1 mini pink steamer)

(1 dual-voltage travel sizes hair dryer)

1 build-a-bear in boxers named TyTy

My Carry-On: Osprey Quasar Backpack

1 spiral notebook

1 folder for important documents

Books for the studying part of the experience

A pouch with travel size shampoo/conditioner/body wash/hair spray & a full size deodarant

& my hairbrush

I downloaded 2 books from Audible about Spain and 1 teen fiction for more light listening

I downloaded Sweet Home Alabama to watch

I saved Spotify songs to be played offline

My tentative airport #OOTD:

1 lightweight down jacket ( that comes with a handy bag it can be stuffed in)

1 blanket scarf ( I love having this on the plane. I'm always cold. )

1 pair leggings

1 comfy short-sleeved tunic

1 long sleeved cardigan

1 pair flat & comfy booties

My purse: Fossil Preston Flap (aka Lola)

Mophie battery with what ends up making an extra phone charger

Sunglasses

Wallet ( WITH PASSPORT, chip cards, and IDs)

Pouch with: lotion, chapstick, pill case, hand sanitizer, hair tie, headphones

Tissues

Mints

Gum to combat the pressure changes & ear discomfort on the flights
