3 nights ago I stepped foot on American soil for the first time in 3 months (the land of the free & the home of the brave... when did I get so patriotic?)
& 3 months ago, I wrote a post about the places I would be visiting during my Semester Abroad and the places I wanted to travel to the most and what I wanted to do in each city.
Here's how that turned out.
I traveled to 5 countries, 4 of which were new for me, Spain, England ( I visited London once a few years ago), Italy, The Netherlands, and Portugal. And out of the four I managed to check of most off the activities I wanted to do too, without even referring to my list!
Barcelona,Spain √

La Sagrada Familia Church √
Nova Icaria Beach
Font Magica de Monjuic √
Las Ramblas √
Park Guell √
Eat at Uma/ an amazing restaurant (is a half check mark a thing?)
Seville,Spain √

Seville Cathedral & Colombus' tomb √
Reales Alcazares Palace √
See a flamenco show/ take a class
Dine at San Telmo
Gibraltar, A British Territory √

See the monkeys & view Africa from the rock √
Go to the Upper Rock to see the underground tunnels & St. Michaels cave √
Eat at a Pub (The Clipper) √
Tangier, Morocco, Africa
Lisbon, Portugal
Amsterdam, The Netherlands (Holland) √

Anne Frank House (again... half check?)
Vondelpark √
Miffy Statues
The Jordaan District
The Fault In Our Stars Bench √
Reykjavik, Iceland
I managed to see 4 of the 7! I was incredibly blessed to find two other girls, Madison (my roommate) and Cecily ( a resident from my days as an RA) who were a dream to travel with. They were up for anything and happy to see a lot of these places with me.

We also had several travel weekends as a group of 22 as well, we spent them in:
1 Frigiliana, Nerja, & Salobrena (Costa Del Sol)

2 Cordoba & Seville

3 Malaga, Almeria, San Jose, & Tabernas

4 Madrid & Toledo

The wi-fi in Hotel Espana in Lanjaron was rather horrid at the beginning but improved a little over our time there. By that point I had already given up on taking 3 hours or more to write & upload pictures for one blog post so, I took notes and am relying on my memory now that I am back in the relm of high-speed internet, to write about my trips. I really want my blog to be somewhere students looking to Study Abroad, either with this specific program or just in general, can get a better idea of what it's all about ( and how much it really costs!)
